Relief General Teaching Assistant – High Needs Learner Programmes at Personalised Learning College
We have a new and exciting opportunity for someone to make a significant contribution to our Special Education Needs learning provision for our existing post 16 learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan attending the Personalised Learning college, at Northdale Horticulture, Northallerton.
Personalised Learning enable young people to access local learning opportunities which will lead to community participation, and wherever possible independent living and/or employment/ or preparation for adulthood.
You will be working as a team to deliver bespoke person-centred independence programmes to young people with complex needs, which will support the young people to develop and progress based on a clear understanding of their personal needs and aspirations. This will be achieved by collaborating with the young people to develop clear learning aims and objectives which will empower individuals with the skills, confidence and challenge to be successful in adult life.
You will work closely with the teacher, to plan and deliver learning opportunities designed around the needs of complex young people; providing personal care as required.
Please note the pay is Pro Rata. The post is relief and term time only, max of 37 weeks per year, the post is max of 34.75 hours per week working Monday to Fridays, 08.30-16.00 based at the PLC Hub, Northdale Horticulture, Northallerton.
