At Buckinghamshire Council we have an opportunity for a high calibre experienced Team Manager to join one of our newly created Locality Hubs.

As a Team Manager, you will lead a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers, delivering statutory and targeted early help services. You will play a crucial role in setting direction, monitoring standards, and providing a positive interface for staff working in a multi-agency environment.

In addition to the salary advertised, you will receive a market premium of £2,750 per annum.

About the role
Team Managers play a critical role, leading a team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers delivering statutory and targeted early help services to children and young people in need of support, protection and care. Team Managers are responsible for leading and managing staff by setting direction, monitoring standards, interpreting, and communicating feedback and providing an important, positive interface for staff working in a multi-agency environment.

Some of your day-to-day tasks will include:

Assessing, planning, delivering, and reviewing social work and early help services
Assuring the quality of practice, managing performance, and delivering value for money
Developing and coordinating partnership working within the service
Taking a key role in the planning and implementation of local service developments and improvements

About you
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with extensive relevant experience and expert knowledge in Children's Services. You will have experience in leading multi-disciplinary and partnership working, as well as supervising and managing staff within a statutory children's social work setting. You will have excellent planning, workload, and project management skills, and the ability to manage change effectively. A recognised social work qualification and current Social Work England registration are essential.
