Fabric Technician - Building Maintenance (Fire Doors)
Location: Central London (University Campus)

Job Type: Temporary full-time
We are seeking a skilled Fabric Technician to join the building maintenance team within a prestigious university in Central London. This role is specifically focused on fitting and cutting fire doors, ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, adjustment, and maintenance of fire doors in accordance with current regulations.
- Accurately measuring, cutting, and fitting doors to meet safety and operational standards.
- Conducting inspections and ensuring fire doors comply with industry standards and university policies.
- Working collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to uphold the safety and integrity of the building infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in building maintenance, with a strong background in fabric works.
- Third-party accreditation for fire doors (preferably UKAS certified).
- Comprehensive understanding of fire door regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
