Premises Assistant / Caretaker Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Term time only plus 5 weeks and 5 INSET days. Contract: Permanent Salary: JG3 £24,790 - £25,183 FTE (Actual Salary £19,582 - £19,892) We are looking for a Premises Assistant / Caretaker to join our team as soon as possible. The Role You will undertake a wide range of duties including: • Unlocking the school premises in the morning and / or locking up at the end of the day • Being pro-active in identifying, reporting and rectifying defects • Ensuring the grounds and buildings are clean and hazard free • Refilling hygiene supplies • Dealing with emergency spillages, floods and drain blockages • Carry out reactive minor repairs to the buildings and grounds • Painting and decorating as required • Responding to tasks identified on the Health & Safety online reporting system • Promoting and encouraging a strong Health & Safety culture. The successful candidate will receive training in fire safety, asbestos awareness and various other site safety checks. The ideal candidate will have previous experience assisting with the general upkeep and operation of school buildings and grounds, however consideration will be given if you can demonstrate transferrable skills.
