The Governors at St Peter’s C of E Primary School are looking for a hard-working, honest, dependable, self-motivated person to be our new Site Assistant to work alongside our experienced Site Manager. We need someone who is committed to keeping our school buildings and grounds looking tidy and smart. You will be required to work 15 hours over the course of the week (hours to be discussed) and to also work 5 inset days and 5 further days in the school holidays (to be confirmed).St Peter’s Vision is for a 'World of Opportunities'. About our School
Our school is set in fabulous and spacious grounds in South Bristol. We have three playgrounds and two areas that are specially set up for our Early Years Children. We have allotments, climbing and adventure equipment, an arboretum, a secret garden, large playing fields and our very own cycle track. With two buildings we also have plenty of space inside. We have two halls, a fully fitted cookery room with four cooking stations and a relaxing grassed courtyard. Children in the Foundation Stage and KS1 (Infants) are in one building and children in KS2 (Juniors) are in another building. We also have an ‘Eco Pod’ which is a fun and exciting space for children to learn in – it even has a slide inside!
The successful candidate must be able to:
• build positive relationships with the local community and people who use our site• work with our site manager to keep our school running effectively through all weathers
• be flexible to respond quickly to the needs of the school
• join in with all aspects of school life including events
• offer flexibility in hours including the management of lettings, late locking up and weekend events
• supervise and chaperone contractors as directed
The right person will:
• have an understanding of current Health and Safety legislation, including COSHH, or will be prepared to undertake training
• good customer service and personnel skills
• good ICT skills and the ability to manage stock and resources
• be prepared to undertake training in different areas as discussed with the Site Manager
The right person will be:
• able to meet the physical demands of the job
• committed to promoting our school now and in the future
• able to be flexible to the needs of the role
