QA Team Leader PM Shift
Burton on Trent
Fantastic Perm Position
Essential recruitment are currently looking to recruit QA Team Leader onPM shifts due to continued growth and expansion at our client in Burton. The ideal candidate must have previous experience, be able to run a team for the day to day operations and able to ensure policy’s and procedures are being followed This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding company on a permanent basis.

Hours of work
Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00
Pay rate:
£35,000 per annum
Daily Tasks:
- Provide daily oversight, coaching, and coordination for QA Technicians, ensuring that routine checks and verifications are carried out effectively
- Monitor task completion across all shifts to guarantee consistent coverage and high-quality output
- Complete and oversee execution of all shift-based QA checks, including foreign body audits, traceability exercises, label and document verification, weight control, and environmental monitoring.
- Promote a constant state of audit readiness by ensuring records are completed on time,
- Support the implementation of corrective actions and contribute to pre-audit preparations alongside the QA Manager
- Lead the on boarding and technical training of new QA Technicians
- Deliver ongoing training and provide real-time feedback to support continuous skill development within the team
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Technical teams to resolve quality issues in real time
- Champion a proactive food safety culture by engaging daily with the QA team and operational colleagues.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in quality assurance within food manufacturing or similar environment
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating shift-based teams (desirable).
- Knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, GMP, and BRC.
- HACCP Level 2 and Food Safety Level 3 (or willingness to obtain).
- Effective communicator with good coaching, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
