Crynodeb
To provide professional high quality specialised cardiac services. To provide an out of hours on call service covering acute cardiac emergencies. To be responsible for Radiation Protection in your own specialist area following IRR & IR(ME)R legislation. To provide the highest quality radiographic images to assist in patient diagnosis & interventional treatment. To maintain and develop knowledge of specialised cardiac procedures through in house training and external courses, meeting CPD requirements. To ensure the department's ID policy is adhered to. To check and accurately record patient and procedure details including the radiation dose. To check patient for pregnancy status if relevant & any allergies. To accurately position complex specialised cardiac imaging equipment. To fill and operate the pressure injector in accordance with departmental/health & safety guidelines. To post process radiological images to demonstrate anatomy & pathology to allow diagnosis & intervention. To problem solve, troubleshoot faults on complex cardiac equipment and communicate errors.
