Support Sessions - We have a number of support sessions planned to enable prospective applicants to ask any questions they may have regarding the role prior to applying. The sessions will also include information, advice and guidance around the recruitment process and how to write an effective application. Please complete the below form and a member of the team will forward the Teams link onto you. https://forms.office.com/e/3B43EFCECh Training Information - Training for this role is on a full-time basis and lasts between 6 and 8 weeks. The classroom element of the training is Monday to Friday for 2 weeks, with mentorship taking place working shifts with experienced staff taking live calls. Candidates must ensure that they are able to commit to this training IN FULL, as no annual leave can be taken whilst in training. Training courses are currently planned throughout 2025 at venues across the North West. Specific dates will be discussed with successful candidates once any offer of employment is made. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a simulated telephone assessment which will take place over Teams W/C 23 June 2025. Successful candidates from the first stage will then be invited to a F2F interview during W/C 30 June 2025. Please note that if you are not available to attend any part of the process on the dates above, further dates will not be offered as part of this recruitment. Previous applicants need not apply. North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport. Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed. We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need. Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident. We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
