Under the direction of the Head Teacher, the Learning Support Assistant is expected to support the delivery of high quality primary education and learning which effectively meets the needs of children.

Lunnasting Primary School is a non-denominational school located in Vidlin. It provides nursery to P7 education for children from Vidlin and surrounding areas. The structure of the school is 1 nursery class and 2 composite primary classes. There are currently 36 pupils in the school and 12 pupils in the nursery. During the selection process, candidates will be assessed to determine whether they meet the person specification criteria of the qualified or unqualified Learning Support Assistant role. This would determine the salary/rate of pay, as well as what duties would be expected of the post holder during their employment. - Rate of pay shown in the advert is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance of £1.4808 per hour
- Permanent Part Time post for 9.5 Hours per Week , 39 weeks per year plus 6.24 weeks (pro rata) paid holiday to be taken during school holidays
- Preferred candidates will be required to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update prior to a formal offer of employment being made
