Working Pattern: Monday to Friday: 8.30-3.30 32.5 Hours per week

We are seeking an exceptional Information Systems Officer to join our dedicated team here at Gwernyfed High School, where academic excellence and innovative practices thrive. This multifaceted role is integral to the smooth running of our school, ensuring the effective management and maintenance of our examinations processes, data systems, and attendance records. The successful candidate will serve as the lead senior administrator, responsible for delivering high-quality information that supports our teaching and administrative staff, ultimately enhancing our pupils’ performance.
Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of data management tasks, including updating reporting systems and producing annual pupil reports to agreed deadlines. You will oversee pupil performance data management, ensuring compliance with data handling and GDPR processes while liaising with relevant staff to provide necessary analysis for the Senior Leadership Team. In addition, you’ll coordinate internal assessment data cycles and produce the data calendar for each academic year.
In the realm of external examinations, you will ensure all candidates are properly registered and informed about their examination responsibilities, maintaining the integrity and security of all examination materials. You will also facilitating communication between all stakeholders, including parents and students, regarding examination entries and results.
Your proactive approach will involve planning and coordinating data and examination schedules, setting up training for staff who require skills in data interpretation and management. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with the ALNCo to cater for candidates with additional learning needs, ensuring that appropriate arrangements are in place.
