Broadly, the main duties of the role will include: Providing HR advice across a range of complex employee relations matters Provide coaching and support to managers and leaders to support excellence in leadership and the effective deployment of People and Culture Strategy, Policy and practice Work autonomously to prioritise workload effectively across a broad portfolio with areas of competing demands. Ensure approaches are in place to effectively manage expectations, identify deadlines and timescales and appropriately escalate issues of potential risk. Maintain a clear understanding and up to date knowledge of the legal framework within which HR operates to ensure credible, consistent and robust advice is provided on complex HR matters. Support the Directorates in the development and monitoring of Workforce plans and alignment to the overall Health Board strategic direction. This will include providing support to service managers in reviewing workforce requirements in order to facilitate role redesign, resourcing requirements and processes for modernising the workforce. Lead the development of Workforce policies as required in line with current legislation and keeping abreast of modern HR procedures and best practice. Regularly utilise data to analyse workforce performance, issues and trends and will be required to utilise this information to form evidence-based recommendations and approaches. This will include the requirement to utilise a variety of systems, such as Excel, ESR etc. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
