Qualified Teaching Assistant to work with a child with a visual impairmentPermanent contract. The successful candidate will either already have knowledge of Braille or be prepared to undertake training in order to support the child to use Braille.27.5 hours per week (0.6559 FTE) £25,584 pro rata Granby is a village school in the heart of the city, providing an opportunity for the right candidate, in a friendly, supportive and child-focused context. The children, staff and governors are looking to appoint an excellent SEND teaching assistant to join our team. Start date 21st August 2025.Granby has a fascinating history and is housed in a Victorian building, which opened in 1889. Whilst it is clearly of its time, we offer contemporary facilities and equipment to provide the best in current educational provision. With around 460 children on roll, and a staff of over 80 people, we are a thriving school at the centre of our local community. The child concerned is currently in our nursery and will be entering Reception in August 2025. The role is one-to-one with the child and the post holder will move through the school with the child. The post may come to an end if the child's needs change or if the child moves to another school. The successful candidate will either already have knowledge of Braille or be prepared to undertake training in order to support the child to use Braille.The successful candidate will: • nurture and cherish the children, promoting their safety wellbeing and learning
