We are looking for one Clinical Fellow (CF) who is keen to work in gynaecological oncology. Clinical duties will be based within the Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre which is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead, a busy dedicated gynaecological oncology tertiary centre with 14 operating lists per week. The post of Clinical Fellow is advertised for a fixed term period of 12 months which may be extended to a longer period, subject to clinical needs and availability of funding. THE NORTHERN GYNAECOLOGICAL ONCOLOGY CENTRE (NGOC) The Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre (NGOC) was founded in 1948 and is based in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead. The NGOC is a tertiary referral centre for the Northern Deanery/North East & North Cumbria Cancer Network, with a catchment population of 2.5 million. Recently, with reconfiguration of regional services, the NGOC has been named Lead Provider of tertiary gynaecological oncology care for women within this whole region. The department of Gynaecological Oncology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital has an international reputation, and attracts fellows and trainees from the UK and abroad.
