Summary


The Camden Crisis Houses are currently based at two locations - Daleham Gardens in NW3 and St Pancras Hospital in NW1

Both are mixed sex 6 bedded crisis alternatives to admission to hospital based on a recovery model. We support those in crisis and those being stepped down from an inpatient admission to help adjust. We offer a 2 week stay typically. You will be part of an MDT providing comprehensive mental state monitoring, medication support, informal counselling or 1:1 support & group activities. We help with planning goals, need and support through dialogue+ and care plans.

Successful candidates will be expected to work a 7-day rota, as part of a 24/7 service, covering both sites. This will include night duties and unsocial hours and you must be flexible to working ALL types of shifts - short days, long days and nights, weekends and bank holidays.

The Clinical Support Worker will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care for service users in the crisis houses. This includes supporting carers, families and other professionals of those being cared for by the team during their care and stay in the house.

You will carry out a range of clinical support tasks, including direct patient interactions, risk assessment under supervision from senior staff, and delivering care interventions as identified as part of the service user’s care plan.

You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide excellent, compassionate and sensitive care to people and their social network.

You will need to be able to write clear clinical progress notes, participate in MDT and handovers, carry out 1:1 meetings, care plans and dialogue + with service users and their social network, support with signposting to other services, escalating risk to seniors and when needed emergency services, confident and able to carry out CPR and Breakaway as well as other mandatory training.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington.
