Full time hours on a temporary basis

We are seeking a dynamic Principal Solicitor to play a key role in the planning and management of our Legal Services Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal support across a broad spectrum of legal work.

About the Role

As Principal Solicitor, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of legal matters, ensuring compliance and efficiency within the team. You will report directly to the Head of Legal and Regulatory Services (Monitoring Officer) and contribute to the strategic direction of legal services within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Legal Services Team, providing expert guidance and support
• Oversee legal matters related to planning, governance, and regulatory affairs
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
• Provide strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders
• Support the Monitoring Officer in legal oversight and risk management

About You

Qualified solicitor
Expertise in legal services management, planning law, and regulatory matters
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and analytical abilities
Ability to work under pressure and manage complex legal cases
