We are offering flexible opportunities for experienced Support Workers to cover sleep-in night shifts at a supported-living unit in Derby. This rewarding role involves working with young people aged 16 and over, helping them develop essential life skills to prepare for independent living by the age of 18.
Many of the service users may have experienced trauma in their past, so we are looking for calm, patient, and empathetic individuals who can provide consistent support and encouragement. You will follow structured care plans to assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and engaging in activities outside the home, all while fostering a safe and supportive environment.
If you are a team player with a positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives, we would love to hear from you.
To be suitable for this position you must have:
- An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months
- Up to date Infection Control, Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults and Moving and Handling training
- A Referenceable work history
- At least 3 months experience within a similar setting
If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!
*Please note that we do not offer sponsorships*
Bank work as and when required
You will be working ad-hoc shifts to cover existing team members, with hours from 19:00 to 07:00 on varying days between Monday to Sunday.
The rate of pay for this role is:
£12.21 per hour (Mon to Fri)
£12.50 per hour (Sat and Sun)
