What skills and experience we're looking for
The Holt House and Carterknowle Schools Federation is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced teaching assistant to join our staff team from 1 Sept 2025.
The post will be based at Holt House Infant School, working in the EYFS.
You will need to have experience of working with children in the EYFS and evidence of how you have supported them effectively. You will be expected to be skilled at working with children in continuous provision, planning and developing activities and assessing children’s learning. You will need to have high expectations for what each child can achieve both in their learning and in their independence.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer you support and continuing professional development so that you can fulfil your role well. Holt House Infant School is a lovely school with wonderful children who are eager to learn. We are committed to meeting children’s individual learning needs, working in partnership with parents and carers.
Further information can be found on our website www.holthouse.sheffield.sch.uk.
Further details about the role
There is an opprtunity to visit the school at 11am on Monday 9 June 2025 by appointment only. Please email or telephone the school to book a place.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people; we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to disclose any cautions or convictions prior to interview. The amendments to the ROA Exceptions Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are therefore not subject to disclosure to employers. The successful candidate will complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Children’s Barred List check.
