Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Early Years Phase Lead to join our vibrant team on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated EYFS team and shape the learning experiences of our youngest pupils in a school that values creativity, inclusion, and child-led learning.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the EYFS team with vision, energy, and a commitment to excellence.
- Teaching your own class and modelling outstanding early years practice.
- Supporting and developing colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and collaborative planning.
- Driving high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment across Nursery and Reception.
- Working closely with SLT to monitor progress and implement strategies for improvement.
- Creating irresistible, inclusive learning environments that spark curiosity and joy.
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has a strong track record of excellent EYFS teaching and, ideally, some leadership or mentoring experience.
- Is passionate about early childhood development and understands the importance of play-based, child-centred learning.
- Has excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support a team.
- Is reflective, creative, and committed to making a real difference in children's lives.
