Part-Time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 21-year-old girl with complex learning difficulties. I live in Brynna with my parents and older brother. I am very chatty and sociable. I love music, art, drama, dancing, shopping, going to the cinema, library and park. I would love someone super friendly to do fun things with as well as someone to help read books and complete activities that I need help with.
I need constant supervision as I am unaware of most dangers when out and about. Unfortunately as I am extremely allergic to pet dander, the person looking after me should not keep pets at home.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The purpose of the job is to take me out to places with someone other than my mum and dad. It means my parents can then spend time with each other and I can look forward to and enjoy other activities with my PA.
HOURS OF WORK
8 hours per week
RATE OF PAY
£13.50 per hour
40p mileage allowance
TASKS INVOLVED
Taking me to places I enjoy
Driving me in your car
Supporting me when I’m out
Keeping me safe
Taking an interest in the activities we are doing and participate where possible
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Someone friendly and outgoing
A person who is fun and easy to talk to
You will be responsible and sensible
Someone who will put in lots of effort to get to know me
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins. Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period. Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
