JOB PURPOSE: To ensure an efficient and effective service in the Emergency Department by assisting in the delivery of personalised care of a high standard, to patients and their relatives/carers. We expect commitment to the Trusts PRIDE values at all times. Below is an outline of the core duties you will be expected to undertake. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: To maintain a visible presence in the department, ready to respond to any requests. To maintain privacy and dignity of all patients at all times. To take reasonable action in ensuring patients property is kept safe in accordance with internal policies and procedures. To assist clinical staff in ensuring patients needs are met. To assist in keeping the department, well stocked clean and tidy as per ward cleaning schedule. To ensure equipment, trolleys and wheelchairs are maintained in good clean condition and safe working order. To ensure clinical and storage areas are kept tidy and well stocked at all times. To assist trained staff in preparing for clinical assessment and/or treatment. To undertake any other duties as appropriate To undertake any other duties as appropriate.
