Summary

Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)

Reporting to: The Employer

Location: Wythall B47

Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the employer who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer:
Our client is a 35-year-old female living in the Wythall area of Worcestershire who is looking for a Personal Assistant to join their team of PA’s to provide support for 20 hours per week with daily living and personal care.
A job share would be considered for the right candidates.

Main duties:
Social duties:
 keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
 make & attend medical appointments
 make & attend dental appointments

Personal care: support with daily aspects of personal care.

Domestic duties: support with grocery shopping, cooking and serving nutritious meals and snacks, cleaning, changing linen, laundry.

These duties may vary from day-to-day.

 Specific requirements: Must be comfortable with animals as there are 3 dogs & 1 cat in the property. Must have previous care & support experience.

 Other: due to the nature of this role including personal care the potential employer will be considering female applicants only.

Hours of work: 20 hour per week –
09:30am-13:30pm Monday to Friday

Rate of pay: £12.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
 driving licence
 car and appropriate insurance
 must be comfortable with animals
 previous care & support experience
 confidentiality
 good at building relationships

Preferred:
 computer literate
 good communicator
 a good listener
 ability to support people with complex care & support needs.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
