About the Employer I am a 53-year-old man with an Anoxic brain injury acquired in 2006. I require support and encouragement to live my life as independently as possible. I have difficulty with verbal communication, but over time you will be able to ‘tune into” my voice. I have spasticity and bradykinesia which affects my mobility, I have lost some ability to stand and now rely on my manual wheelchair. However, I can stand when using my rotator to transfer. I am polite and good natured and have a good sense of humour I am looking forward to building a good working relationship with a trustworthy and supportive Personal Assistant.
I am a house cat owner (my cat is not allowed to leave the house).
I am a smoker.
Daily Tasks: To greet me on arrival and ask me when I would like to get up. When I am up I will need you to support me with personal care. To prepare and cook a healthy evening meal. To support me with general housework and the upkeep of my home. To support with weekly food shopping.
Throughout the week: To change my bedlinen once a week or more often if needed Check that refrigerated food is in date and stored hygienically Help me to put my clean washing away Encourage and support me to eat fresh cooked meals with healthy options and support me to keep up to date with appointments and any activities I may access.
Sunday to support with a shower
To support with paperwork such as household bills.
