As Scrum Master you will be leading a Scrum Team (up to 12 colleagues), responsible for task allocation and coordination of delivery, resolving any issues that arise, removing blockers and having control over the scrum processes as well as facilitating scrum rituals.
As Scrum Master you will ensure that the scrum runs smoothly and work is completed within the allotted time/sprint to the required quality parameters, providing requisite reporting to PMO and Programme management.
You will have Scrum Master responsibility for monitoring progress within the Scrum Team and executing the backlog as determined with the Product Owner, ensuring conflicts and dependencies are resolved quickly and with minimal impact.
We offer flexibility over where you work – you choose a place where you feel most comfortable and productive, either from home or in one of our hubs. Our insurance operations team meet most months in either London or Folkestone. As part of this role we would require you to attend our offices at least once a month to meet with the wider project teams.

As our Scrum Masters within Insurance Operations you will be responsible for;
• Ensuring resources allocated to the scrum teams are utilised optimally, contribute meaningfully and that any skills or capacity issues are resolved either within the scrum team or across the broader change delivery unit
• Facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
• Removing any blockers/issues for the scrum team working with the wider scrum community and in liaison with PMO
• Assisting the Product Owner with managing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring all information is obtained and ready for the next sprint.
• Coordination of Subject Matter Expert support, ensuring the right resource is available to the team at the right time
• Facilitating discussion, decision making and conflict resolution
• Ensuring clear and transparent communication and learning is an ongoing principle
• Using “Agile Management Tool” as a work management tool to oversee and report on team progress providing timely and accurate updates
• Working in alignment with the delivery framework methodologies ensuring all matters for escalation are reported immediately and any outstanding issues are tracked to appropriate resolution.
• Acting as the primary scrum’s administrator for all delivery definition, progress tracking and reporting requirements.
• Ensuring the quality principles and quality mindset are perpetuated through the team’s behaviours and deliveries.
• Being a key contributor to the ongoing product strategy, change agenda and system & product development debate and direction
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivery with an eye for detail maintaining high standards for themselves and those in their team.
As a Scrum Master you would be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience
• Good educational background to at least A Level preferred
• RPA experience preferred but not mandatory
• Excellent Stakeholder Management, Negotiation and Communication skills
• Competent in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, Visio
• Experience applying Scrum principles and
• Line management and virtual team management experience
• Understand basic fundamentals of iterative development
• Able to facilitate workshops and discussions to identify alternative approaches to resolving conflicts
• Ability to move into any business environment and establish scrum practices and principles
• Proven proficiency in the use of Agile tools e.g. Rally, JIRA, Version1 etc
