The Governing Body of Trallwng Infants School is seeking to appoint a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and committed team. This exciting opportunity is to work primarily with our Nursery and Reception children in our Early Years unit, providing vital support for their early development and learning. At Trallwng Infants School, we are proud of our warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is celebrated, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential. Our school is rooted in the local community and guided by strong values, with a friendly and warm working environment created by a supportive and hardworking team. We believe in fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence from the very beginning of a child’s educational journey. Joining our team means becoming part of a school that values collaboration, wellbeing, and a shared commitment to making every day meaningful for our children. As part of our Early Years team, you will work closely with the class teacher to nurture a rich, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to explore, discover, and learn through play. You will help to foster a classroom atmosphere that is warm, secure, and stimulating—where children feel valued, confident, and inspired to learn.
The Successful Candidate Will: • Be a passionate and inspiring practitioner who motivates young children to learn through engaging and creative experiences. • Demonstrate a strong understanding of early childhood development with a commitment to play-based, child-centred learning. • Work effectively as part of a team to support children’s emotional, social, and academic growth. • Assist with planning, preparation, resource development, and classroom organisation. • Be confident in maintaining written records and observation notes in collaboration with the class teacher. • Build strong, caring relationships with pupils, staff and families, acting as a positive role model for our pupils. • Demonstrate calmness, patience, resilience, and strong behaviour management skills. • Be enthusiastic about contributing to wider school events and enrichment opportunities for our pupils.
