Education and Skills - Building Bright Futures
Are you committed to making a difference in the lives of young people? We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Entitlement and Inclusion Advisor to lead our work on inclusion and alternative provision for learners with SEND across Wiltshire.
As the Entitlement and Inclusion Advisor, you will have responsibility for ensuring that children and young people with SEND at risk of exclusion or in alternative provision, receive the education and support they need to thrive. You will work closely with schools, education teams, and social care teams to improve outcomes and promote positive behaviour and inclusion.
Other responsibilities will include, managing aspects of the alternative provision workstream, overseeing statutory responsibilities, and helping to shape services that support vulnerable learners. You will also lead on quality assurance of SEND at alternative provision , performance monitoring, and staff development, ensuring that all young people attending alternative provision have access to full-time, high-quality education and clear career pathways.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a detailed knowledge and understanding of the legislation surrounding alternative provision, SEND and exclusion from school, as well as the ability to work strategically and professionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Experience working within a multi-agency context, and direct recent experience working within Children’s Services or a school setting will be essential. You will also need to be confident in making complex decisions, managing risk, and driving innovation.
If you have a commitment to making a real, positive impact in the lives of young people, we’d love to hear from you.
