A little about myself:
I am a curious, cheeky 5 year old girl who enjoys school, messy play and going to the playground. I have a diagnosis of Autism and Global Development Delay. I am preverbal however am learning ways to communicate so I need support with my communication. I enjoy going out to activities including soft play, swimming and parks and spending time with my siblings .
Driver required to take me out.
Female preferred.
Hours of work
4 hours during weekends during term time
8 hours during school holidays to be decided flexibly
Rate of pay.

Essential:
I need you to:
• Take me places in the community. Having a car is essential.
• Provide a good level of supervision to ensure my safety, sometimes I can be vulnerable in the community
• Be patient and take the time to understand my needs and wants and help me with transitions.
• Have experience working with children with additional learning needs and ASD.
Desirable
I’d prefer if:
• You were female.
• You are happy to take me out with my siblings and their PAs.
• You have experience working with BAME families
I’d like support with
• Keeping myself safe in the community
• Communicating my needs and wants
• Taking me to the toilet
• Transitions from one activity to another
I will need my PA to:
Respect and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality.
Be confident, mature and have patience.
Be dependable and arrive on time.
Be friendly with an easy-going manner.
Be adaptable and flexible.
Be supportive but not take over.
Have business insurance on your car to take clients out.
Concerning the position
A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis). A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
