Crynodeb

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of an effective clinical pharmacy service on allocated inpatient wards and provide leadership to the pharmacy team and wider multidisciplinary team. They will be required to supervise junior pharmacy staff, coach and mentor and have line management responsibilities. They will be involved in delivering medicines related teaching sessions to colleagues and wider teams, lead on audits and quality improvement projects, investigate medicines related incidents and develop robust improvement plans where needed. They will have responsibilities to write and review medicines related policies and guidelines and support junior staff develop these skills. Responsible for preparing medicines optimisation group agendas and minutes, maintain the medicines related documents database and be the organisational lead for development of medicines formularies and clinical pathways across the sector. They should have strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across boundaries with internal teams, external partners and integrated care boards. The pharmacy team has grown exponentially over the last few years and the dynamic is constantly changing.
