Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer looking to work on a prestigious commercial office site in the heart of London? We are recruiting for a Shift Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established building services team, supporting both landlord and tenant areas of a high-spec, multi-tenanted property.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance tasks across HVAC systems, pumps, motors, valves, pipework, and plant equipment.

  • Monitoring and maintaining hot & cold-water systems, including expansion vessels and pressurisation units.

  • Supporting AHU, FCU, extract fans, VAVs and BMS monitoring for efficient building performance.

  • Responding to helpdesk requests and fault-finding on mechanical issues affecting tenant spaces and common areas.

  • Ensuring plant rooms and risers are maintained in line with site standards and health & safety compliance.

  • Assisting with small mechanical installations and improvement works.

  • Supporting compliance tasks such as water treatment (L8), temperature checks, and flushing regimes.

  • Collaborating with electrical and fabric engineers as part of a multi-skilled shift team.

✅ Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems and building services plant.

  • Experience in a commercial building environment, preferably multi-tenanted offices.

  • Good understanding of health & safety practices, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
