Are you a HR professional with a passion in improving workplaces and employee experiences? Are you solutions-focused and collaborative?
About us
The Science Museum Group (SMG) is here to inspire futures. Our People and Culture (P&C) team have a mission: to build an organisation of empowered and engaged people, who are passionate and proud to work here.
To support our commitment to making SMG a great place to work, we are looking for a People Partner to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at the Science Museum in London.
About the role
As one of our team of People Partners, you will help to deliver an exceptional service to our people. The role of People Partner covers all aspects of generalist HR delivery. You will be supporting investigations, grievance hearings and sickness absence management meetings, as well as covering things like performance management, improving colleague engagement, promoting inclusion and diversity and organisational development.
About you
You may be an ER or HR specialist, advisor, or a Business Partner looking for experience in a new and unique environment. Whatever your background, you will have a broad generalist skillset, with good technical ER knowledge, ideally with experience of organisational design and development and delivering change programmes. You will be able to build solid working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and will bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You will have a passion for improving workplaces and employee experiences; a genuine customer-oriented approach; delivering the best possible experience to those you work with. The client group you will support is an operational one, so an understanding of the issues for frontline (visitor/public-facing) staff, i.e. the operational environment, challenges and issues will be helpful.
Don't feel you meet all the criteria? We welcome you to apply even if your experience doesn't match directly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
