Sales Order Processor
Location: Lancaster
Salary: Up to £25,397 per year
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 3:45 pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Sales Order Processor to join a busy, friendly, and fast-paced team in Lancaster. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate with proven sales administration experience who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service and thrives in a dynamic work environment.
❗ Please note: Only applicants with previous experience in sales administration will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service from initial enquiry through to delivery and aftercare.
Accurately process quotations, identifying opportunities to upsell and maximise customer value.
Enter and manage sales orders according to internal procedures and customer-specific instructions.
Handle and resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Answer incoming sales calls with confidence and professionalism.
Schedule carriers and coordinate delivery logistics effectively.
Communicate with clients across multiple channels, maintaining high service standards at all times.
Technical Skills Required:
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and Teams.
Confident using Microsoft Outlook for email and scheduling.
Experience with Sage 200 or similar ERP/accounting systems.
Personal Attributes & Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all administrative tasks.
Effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
Confident with upselling and identifying opportunities to add value.
Friendly, professional, and a true team player.
Able to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Adaptable, dependable, and calm under pressure.
