Summary
We are looking for an inspirational and talented colleague to join the Education team at Oxford Brookes. If you have the ambition, ability, and passion to make a difference through your teaching and research, then join us at one of the UK’s leading modern universities. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Education who is able to teach across our suite of education courses, with a particular focus on initial teacher education and training courses leading to QTS.
As a Lecturer you will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate modules and contribute to the development and sustainability of our programme portfolio. This will include but is not limited to the BA Primary Teacher Education and PGCE Primary (both with QTS). You will be able and willing to apply your expertise across a range of education settings and lead modules on a variety of topics, demonstrating your expertise in education and, more specifically, the primary National Curriculum and associated teaching pedagogies. You will understand what it means to deliver an outstanding learning experience to students, with experience commensurate with the post and be confident operating in virtual and blended learning environments. An active research profile or ambition to build the same is desirable. Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role.
Please note that this post is full-time for a fixed-term period to 31st August 2027.

Please note that candidates are usually appointed at the bottom of the salary range with a step pay increase until they reach the top of the salary scale.
