About the role:

Horsham District Council is looking for a Development and Building Control Deputy Team Leader to support and deputise the Team Leader in these service areas.

As Development and Building Control Deputy Team Leader you will manage complaints, be the main point of contact for the Councillor’s and Parish Council engagement and assist in responding to Freedom of Information requests.

You will be assisting and deputising for the Team Leader of the Development and Building Control Support Team and the Council’s validation of building control and planning applications as a whole. This will also include managing workflows across the two service areas.

About you:

To succeed as Development and Building Control Deputy Team Leader you will require significant experience of administrative and process management preferably in a Local Authority setting, management and supervisory experience. A customer focused approach with strong commercial acumen, with experience of business development is essential. You will also have good organisational and management skills and the ability to problem solve.
