We improve and protect the quality of our air, land and water. We work with businesses to help them comply with environmental regulations and support sustainable growth.
We are committed to having an inclusive workforce to reflect the communities we serve. We don’t just talk about diversity; we seek it, embrace it, and live it, for the benefit of our staff, our communities, and our environment’ and put at the top.
We are working hard to ensure that regulation plays its full part in delivering the Government's Environmental Improvement Plan, net zero and industrial strategies and support sustainable growth, alongside delivering value for money and reducing costs for business..

• informing senior leaders on cross-cutting regulation matters through preparing briefings, presentations, written papers and reports.
• working with businesses and their representatives (for example, through our Regulated Business Forum).
