Job Role: Headteacher

Salary: Up to £90,000.00 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week,

Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Location: Avonside School, Bristol BS4 5PS

Join us at our Brand New Acorn School - Avonside School

Avonside School in Bristol is set to open in August 2025. The school will cater for pupils between 13 - 19 years old, and will have capacity for 72 pupils. We have an exciting opportunity for a Headteacher with a passion for education and supporting a whole new school set up.

This co-educational provision will support pupils with social and emotional mental health (SEMH) and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the charge: Drive the delivery of exceptional outcomes for pupils and ensure the overall success of the school

Inspire Excellence: Manage staff and deliver outstanding pupil outcomes through a highly engaging and relevant curriculum

Track Progress: Understand where pupils stand academically and non-academically, ensuring evidence of outstanding progress

Enhance Behaviour: Implement strategies that improve and increase engagement in learning

Therapeutic Programmes: Development of programmes which are integral to the education of our pupils and support their needs

Promote Development: Offer positive experiences that support pupils' spiritual, social, moral and cultural growth

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience as a Headteacher with a proven record of successful leadership
Qualified Teacher Status or Equivalent
Commitment to Personal and Professional Development
Ability to lead with Clear Vision
