Introduction
We are looking for a kind, energetic, and self-motivated Personal Assistant to support a shy 20-year-old autistic adult.
Duties
Helping to organise and structure his time
Finding and planning activities he might enjoy – such as tennis, cinema, day trips, or bus rides
Encouraging social interaction and confidence in different environments
Going out and about using public transport (a free bus pass is available for the carer)
Providing companionship and positive encouragement
Supporting his independence while being patient and understanding
Hours
up to 10 hours per week (flexible, to be discussed)
Rate: £12.21ph
Essential Requirements
Valid Enhanced DBS check
Honest, reliable, and full of positive energy
Calm, patient, and able to build trust
Desired Experience
Experience with autism is a plus, but not essential – the right attitude is most important
Creative in suggesting new ways to spend time
Self-motivated and confident working independently
