Location: Bristol (BS16) Pay: Up to £14.32 per hour Job Type: Full-time | Part-time | Permanent

About the Role As an On-Call Support Worker, you will be at the forefront of care services, providing responsive and effective support to staff, service users, and other stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring continuity of care and emergency response outside regular office hours.
The on-call service operates 24/7, and we are looking for fully flexible individuals who can cover a range of shifts when required.
Types of On-Call Roles:


  • On-call: Answering calls, resolving queries, and liaising with support teams

  • Standby: Attending sites to provide emergency cover and direct support


Key Responsibilities


  • Respond to phone calls from staff and service users outside regular office hours

  • Communicate with support staff and liaise with approved agencies

  • Provide cover when required, attending shifts if no alternative is available

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, documenting interactions and incidents

  • Remain in a fit state to drive and within reasonable proximity to service locations for emergency response

  • Assist with competency assessments of support staff

  • Support senior management with administrative tasks when required


Essential Skills & Experience


  • Experience in a support role

  • Reliable with strong leadership and communication skills

  • Resilient, organised, and able to multi-task

  • Flexible and adaptable, ready to cover shifts at short notice

  • Driver with own vehicle and clean licence


Desirable Skills


  • 12+ months experience in support roles

  • Experience at supervision or management level

  • Experience in various support settings

  • Understanding of challenging behaviour support
