An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a committed, highly motivated, knowledgeable and reliable individual, who has an interest in training and staff development to join the GMMH clinical skills training team as a Clinical Skills Trainer. The post will be based at Prestwich site within Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation trust, but there will be some occasional requirement to work across all other sites.
Applications are welcomed from nursing associates, assistant practitioners, mental health experienced senior support workers or other appropriate roles with passion and experience in delivering training who can facilitate and deliver training alongside highly motivated Clinical Educators within the Clinical Skills Training Team with minimal supervision.
The successful applicant will work with the Clinical Skills Training team, Professions and Quality Team, and the Learning and Development Team to facilitate and co-deliver clinical induction and specific essential to role training across Greater Manchester NHS Foundation Trust footprint to support the Trust’s training requirements.
The purpose of the Clinical Skills Training Team is to promote effective and safe practice, through training, that enables staff to feel confident in delivering the care that is evidenced based and meets national and local guidelines and standards.
The primary duty of this post holder is to work alongside the clinical educators within clinical skills training team to help co-ordinate, facilitate and co-deliver mental health clinical skills trainings including 2 weeks clinical induction programme for GMMH clinical workforce.

• To support and assist theClinical Educators within the teamin planning, facilitating, and co-delivering identified Clinical Skills Training for GMMH clinical workforce.
• To have/develop skills and knowledge within your scope of practice to be able to support and co-deliver identified Clinical Skills Training to the clinical workforce.
• Along with the Clinical Educators, to facilitate and co- deliver Clinical Skills Training to a consistent, safe andfair standard in accordance with Trust policy, requirements and standards.
• To support, facilitate and co-deliver the trust clinical induction programme and other training courses as required, keeping records of attendance and monitoring feedback.
• Support with the coordination and arrangement of clinical induction and training sessions, including booking rooms/venues, arranging other speakers/trainers, diary management and coordination of training packs as required.
• To work using initiative and be a team player.
• Demonstrates a flexible approach to working patterns as needed.
• Organise and adjust own workload in a manner that meets priorities of the team and promotes quality.
• Demonstrate and promote a professional, positive image at all times.
• Work within the limits of own and others competence, levels of responsibility and accountability in the team.
• Work collaborative and flexibly with rest of the Clinical Skills Training Team.
• To communicate in an effective, professional, approachable and timely manner with other professionals, both within GMMH and externally.
• To exercise good personal time management, punctuality and reliable attendance.
