Ward A3 at Wythenshawe Hospital, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are currently looking to recruit a Band 6 Charge Nurse/Ward Sister to our team. Join our team where you’ll have the opportunity to care for patients recovering from a number of acute orthopaedic treatments. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills on a busy acute ward and grow within your Charge Nurse/Ward Sister post.

We are looking for registered nurses who are compassionate and caring with an ability to focus on the delivery of high calibre patient centred care. To join us, you should have the ability to motivate, inspire and support each other while providing fantastic care to our patients, who are at the heart of all we do. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care is essential.

We are looking for a suitably experienced nurse who is passionate about patient safety and experience. As Charge Nurse/Ward Sister you will be closely involved in the delivery of exceptional quality of care to our orthopaedic patients.

The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
