The Contract Monitoring Officer’s duties cover monitoring of Domestic, Waste, Catering & Housekeeping, and Linen Services.

The post holder is responsible for supporting the Trust in complying with all appropriate legislative guidance and ensuring the excellent performance of these services via a range of reviews and assessments of each service in line with the agreed offer, including audits, observations and discussions with stakeholders.

The post holder will be required to present said findings and data in a variety of ways for different audiences both verbally and in written form.

The post holder will be responsible for accurately updating and managing different databases that relate to service data and will be interested in and competent to manage analyse and understand data and trending and using excel and other types of software.

The post-holder will be expected to work to and deliver objectives defined by the Contract Manager and be enthusiastic about, and dedicated to high standards of service delivery to patients, staff and visitors and motivated to promote continuous improvement.

The post-holder will be expected to work on first line complaints with the aim of resolving at the first available opportunity, and escalating appropriately where necessary.
• To be involved in the PLACE programme taking responsibility for arrangements for your services, leading groups on monthly inspections and answering any questions raised by the team.
• To gather any data and results necessary for the reporting of the PLACE inspection results.
• To ensure that cleaning and catering audits are carried out in accordance with the Performance Management System for both Commercial and Non Commercial performance indicators recording frequency, score and reporting on trends.
• To ensure that remedial work is carried out to agreed timescales.
• Chair contract operation meeting in line manager absence
• Problem solving contract complaint in line with service agreement
• Assist with monthly variation charges sign off ( adhoc jobs)
• Support performance manager in planning and checking Periodic task
• To participate in audits as per agreed plan for weekly, monthly and quarterly audits.
• To carry out sample testing for performance standards both commercial and non-commercial.
• To ensure that periodic tasks are completed in accordance with the agreed programme.
• To ensure that all non-planned work is completed within the framework of agreed response times.

· Support organizing of annual National Place on both site Bedford and Lutonhospital and lead in team assessment
• Support organizing & lead PEG assessment and report/logged findings for attention of Estates
