Cygnets Preschool is a thriving setting based on the grounds of Langford Village School. We cater for children aged two to four years of age within our preschool. Additionally, we offer Wraparound Care, this care compliments and runs alongside the nursery sessions held at the primary school. Cygnets Preschool is operated independently from the school by the Cygnets Leadership Committee and is a non-profit making charity registered with Ofsted. The Cygnets committee members are all parents/grandparents of children at the school or in the preschool.
It's not every day you get the chance to join a dedicated team at an established and highly regarded village preschool. We pride ourselves on creating a warm family atmosphere where the children thrive and have lots of fun. Your role will be to continue our success whilst bringing fresh ideas and exciting possibilities to our wonderfully equipped setting. This is a hands-on role where you'll be ensuring that every child is stimulated and nurtured to achieve their individual ability.
We are looking for a qualified Early Years Educator to come and join our caring, friendly, fun, warm hearted and fabulous team. Of equal importance is the enthusiasm and passion to make a real difference to the children in your care. This role requires a candidate that can work with children from a variety of backgrounds, lead an area of EYFS and report directly to the setting manager. We have an open office door policy, offering a warm and inviting place of work.
Days: Monday – Friday, 12:00-15:30
Hours: Term time only
Available to work Monday – Friday, 17.5 hours per week
Salary: Highly competitive and negotiable
Start Date: September 2025
What we are looking for:
● Minimum Level 3 qualification
● The ability to work hard within a team and communicate at all levels
● A good understanding of the EYFS
● To plan, teach around children’s interests within a relaxed environment and structure
● Understanding of the importance of Safeguarding within childcare, policies, and procedures
● Understanding of OFSTED requirements/Inspection Frameworks
● A willingness to undertake appropriate training, including CPD
● A sense of fun and enthusiasm coupled with a mature responsible attitude.
Key Duties:
● To ensure delivery of the highest quality childcare across all our sessions
● To lead by example, support and work within a team
● To maintain operational standards in relations to the EYFS
● Safeguarding and paediatric first aid training will be required/given
Cygnets Preschool adheres to Safer Recruitment and as such, references will be requested and obtained prior to employment. Cygnets Preschool is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
