Job title: Personal Assistant (PA)
Reporting to: The Employer
Location: Church Lench, Worcestershire WR11
Job purpose:
To assist with a variety of tasks which will assist the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer:
Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for 14 hours per week to their young son who has a genetic diagnosis, Jacobsen’s, global delay in language, development and language skills.
Main duties:
Social duties:
Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
Enjoys bike riding, swimming, visiting playgrounds.
Support with language and behavioural development.
These duties may vary from day-to-day.
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
Values someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, ability to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy going, able to work alone, positive, willingness to travel, understands equality and diversity.
Specific requirements: Someone with understanding and experience in special needs at a young age. Must be active as client is a very active young man.
Hours of work: 14 hours per week – After school support required + some weekend hours. To be discussed.
Rate of pay: £12.21 per hour
Skills, qualifications, and experience
Essential:
Driving licence
Car and appropriate insurance
Previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs
Must be very active
Able to swim
Confidentiality
Good at building relationships
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
