Do you want to learn while you earn and gain a nationally recognised qualification in youth work? Torus Foundation is offering an
exciting opportunity for 3x full time Apprentice Youth Workers to join our team at the vibrant FireFit Youth & Community Hub in
Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a Level 6 Youth Work Degree Apprenticeship at Liverpool Hope University while working
as a Youth Worker at FireFit Youth & Community Hub. You will be given appropriate paid time within work for your studies, to work
towards completion of a Youth Worker degree.
This is an important role in which you will:
* Develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to meet the national Youth Work Professional Standards and the
Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) of the Level 6 Youth Work Apprenticeship Standard.
* Receive on-the-job training and mentoring, alongside academic study, to achieve a BA (Hons) in Youth Work.
* Delivering high-quality youth work activities that support young people’s personal, social, and emotional development.
To be successful in this role you will:
* Have a minimum Level 3 qualification (e.g. A Levels, BTEC, NVQ) or relevant experience (experience subject to assessment by
Liverpool Hope University)
* Have some experience (paid or voluntary) working with children, young people, or communities in a formal or informal setting –
e.g. schools, youth clubs, sports teams, faith groups, community centre.
* Have the ability to build positive relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds
Interview Process
* Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an in-person interview, which will include a competency-based interview to assess
your skills and experience.
Additional Information:
Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed:
* Right to work verification
* Qualification certificate check
* 2x Completed references
* OH Health Questionnaire – Fit For Work
* DBS check (if required for role)
* Completion of all new starter documentation including signed T&C’s
