A Great opportunity has just become available with a well established engineering company based in Poole, the company service a range of sectors and are now looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join its high performing department!
The Role:
- Reporting to the Quality Manager.
- Ensuring that every part leaving the shop floor meets customer and regulatory requirements.
- Produce and verify First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customer-specific standards.
- Competent use of CMM to inspect precision-machined parts.
- Carry out patrol inspection on the shop floor and perform final release inspection.
- Use a full range of traditional metrology equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, shadow graphs, beam gauge, etc.).
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain quality data within the QMS/MRP system.
- Liaise with Production, Engineering and Management to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Quality/Mechanical Inspector in a precision engineering environment.
- Sound knowledge of FAIR requirements and dimensional inspection techniques.
- Competence in CMM operation - Desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to read complex engineering drawings.
- Confident communicator.
