Summary
Quality Inspector (Mechanical)
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £16.83 per hour (£35,000 per annum)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 2.30pm
A well-established manufacturer based in Poole are looking to recruit for a Quality Inspector (Mechanical) to join their team.
Working within a team of 2 you will be undertaking first offs & production inspection for small batch work.
Duties will include;
• Inspecting of first offs & finished products to engineering drawings
• Create & logging of NCR
• Producing and filling of inspection reports
• Overseeing the Junior Inspector to ensure day to day tasks are completed, provide any support & training
The successful candidate will possess;
• Previous experience of mechanical inspection
• Experience of using measuring equipment including bore-mikes, thread gauges, shadow graph, tali-surf, tri-mos, micrometres, height gauges.
• A background of working to tight tolerances (tightest tolerance is 1000 of an inch plus or minus)
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
• Ability to read and work from complex manufacturing drawings
