Have you recently completed a degree in HR or a business related field and are ready to take your first step into a dynamic and
supportive People team? Heron Foods is looking for a Graduate People Coordinator to join us at our Store Support Centre in Melton,
near North Ferriby.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for people, employee relations, and business improvement to
start their HR career in a growing company. You’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience across a range of People and HR functions
while being part of a team that supports over 340 stores nationwide.

With a starting salary of £27,500, this role is ideal for someone who’s ready to learn, contribute, and grow their skills in a
business that values development and encourages fresh ideas.

Why Join Heron?

* We’re part of the B&M Group – one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers.
* We have a strong culture of nurturing and developing talent from within.
* You’ll be part of a friendly, inclusive team where your ideas are welcomed.
* You'll be joining a business where you can make a real difference.

What You’ll Be Doing

* Act as a first point of contact on the People Advice Line, supporting store managers with day-to-day queries such as absence,
investigations, and performance.
* Help manage long-term absence cases with welfare check-ins and support documentation.
* Assist with the coordination of people policies, communications, and admin tasks.
* Take notes during remote People/HR meetings and help line managers with relevant follow-up.
* Contribute to team projects including policy reviews, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Support the creation of paperwork for performance and employee relations processes.
* Maintain accurate records and employee files within our People systems.
* Learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the daily operations of the People team.

What You’ll Need

* A degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field (achieved or on track for 2:1 or above).
* Ideally some relevant work experience – this could be a placement, internship, part-time job, or university project in an HR or
business setting.
* Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn People/HR systems.
* An eye for detail and a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude.

What We Offer

* Salary: £27,500
* Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8.30am–4.30pm).
* 30 days annual leave (with the option to purchase additional days).
* A pension scheme and access to a 24/7 employee assistance programme.
* Online GP access for you and your family.
* Staff discounts across Heron Foods and B&M stores.
* Lifestyle perks and wellbeing offers through BenefitHub.
* Ongoing learning and development with clear career progression opportunities.

At Heron Foods, we pride ourselves on offering graduates a genuine opportunity to make an impact, learn from experienced
professionals, and build a rewarding career. If you're ready to begin your journey in HR with a business that values people and
