Northumbria urology services have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced and passionate nurse/ practitioner to join our urology specialist nursing/practitioner team.
The team provide a wide range of cancer and benign services from referral into secondary care; diagnostic investigations; results; treatments and follow up care.
As a senior member of the team you will play a key role collaborating with local and regional multi-disciplinary teams , linking with colleagues to influence, coordinate and implement care pathways for our urology patients. You will be responsible for providing personalised and high quality care for patients within the urology service, helping to design and implement new and improved ways of working.

Provide clinical expertise and practice autonomously in the absence of medical cover.
• Provide skilled and knowledgeable care and advice to patients and their carers.
• Complete assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct care to patients.
• Work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team
• Engage with external agencies to provide a high quality service for patients from disease, and their carers.
• Contribute to the development of high quality services within Northumbria Healthcare.
• To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
