To provide support tocentreusers atNumber 93,which is a Wellbeing Centre supporting health and wellbeing in North Manchester. Informally engagingwith and welcoming people who use thecentre, supporting the daily drop-in and running informal activities withcentreusers. SignpostingandreferringCentre users to support, information and advice services. Working without constant supervisionin a busycentre.

• To engage with Centre users, such as having conversations, running activitysessions,orparticipatingin existing activities within the Café area or a community space.

• Meet with new Centre Usersandprovide 121 sessions to discussaany issues they may have and what support options they could access. Talkingtopeopleabout what activitiesthey wantat the centre.


• To provide Centre Users with information and advice about services both within and external to the organisation.

• Some Centre Users turn up in crisis and need support with signposting or referring to different organisations, such as food banks, debt advice charities and the Crisis Cafe team.

• Provide 1:1 support to Centre Users and access to information, advice and activities that helpmaintainand improveCentre Users’health and wellbeing, tailored to meet their individual needs.

• Tofacilitatethe delivery ofCentre Users’support in a group setting whererequired.

• The post holder will be able to respond flexibly to the needs of Centre Users.

• UpdatethePARIS databasetorecord information and complete progress notesabout service users, when consent has been agreed.

• To liaise with Centre users, volunteers, carers and staff and other services in a professional and caring mannerat all times.

• Deliver 121 talks with Centre Users in a sensitive and sympathetic manner.Be aware of potential circumstances that may restrict peoplefrom getting involved in activities,such as mental health condition, learning disability or physical impairment.

• By working within Multi-Disciplinary Team processes for communicating with Centre Users, manage barriers to communication in a professional, constructive, and empathic manner

• To keepaccurateand complete records consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures

• To receive and relay oral and written messages

• To act within policy,proceduresand guidelines especially in relation to confidentiality and consent, complaints and concerns, risk assessment and risk management

• To promote groups and activities that are based in No 93 and the wider community

• To support the Centre Manager and Community Development Manager in promoting No 93 in the wider community

• Occasionally support people who are distressed, due to physical or mental health or personal circumstances.
