Plumpton College is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Lecturer in Animal Studies to join our growing team. This exciting full-time role offers the opportunity to help launch and play a key role in the delivery of our brand-new BSc (Hons) Top-Up in Zoology and Animal Conservation as well as other related programmes.

What You’ll Do
Plan and deliver high-quality, evidence-informed teaching and assessment across our new HE programme in Zoology and Conservation (some contribution to Level 3 FE teaching and tutoring will be required).
Track student progress rigorously, provide effective academic support, and take ownership of student outcomes.
Contribute fully to the wider demands of the role, including curriculum development, open days, recruitment events, and ongoing quality assurance — this is a rewarding but demanding post requiring commitment, adaptability, and resilience.
What We’re Looking For
Postgraduate qualification in Zoology, Animal Science, Conservation, or a related subject (essential).
HE teaching experience or clear potential to teach to a consistently high standard.
A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to achieve one within four years of appointment (e.g. PGCE).
Excellent attention to detail and a student-centred, proactive approach.
Flexibility, collaboration, and a genuine passion for your subject.
