Pay rate: £35.00 per hour PAYE
Role length: Anticipated one month minimum, with possibility of extension for the right candidate
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Planning Lawyer to undertake an audit of Agreements the Council has entered into pursuant to Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and produce an analysis of the financial contributions received from those agreements.
Key Responsibilities:

This role will involve closely liaising with Officers in the Finance Team to assess which elements of the contributions have been drawn down from the balance sheets and offset against contributions received
What the client is looking for:
Qualified barrister or solicitor or FILEX (able to obtain or has a current practising certificate)
Experience in practice as a qualified solicitor or barrister
Knowledge and experience of planning law.
Experience of Development projects
Experience of Section 106 Agreements - essential
Working knowledge of the law and practice relating to planning
Sound working knowledge of local government law and practice
