JOB TITLE: Senior Lawyer - Employment Law

Pay rate: £42.67 per hour PAYE
Working Arrangement: Remote/Hybrid considered.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an experience Senior Lawyer, specialising in Employment Law.
You will be responsible for employment Tribunal cases, compromise agreements, internal appeals and appeals against Employment Tribunal decisions, unfair / constructive dismissal, whistle blowing, discrimination law, Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations, contracts of employment, reorganisation and redundancy and conduct and capability cases
The rate maybe negotiable for the right candidate, please clearly indicate hourly rate desired on your application.
What the client is looking for:
Must be a qualified solicitor or barrister specialising in Employment Law.
Substantial post-qualification experience in employment law (ideally within a public sector or local authority environment), including Employment Tribunal cases, compromise agreements, internal appeals and appeals against Employment Tribunal decisions, unfair / constructive dismissal, whistle blowing, discrimination law, Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations, contracts of employment, reorganisation and redundancy and conduct and capability cases
A practical and solutions-focused approach to legal advice and litigation.
Strong advocacy, negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
